This year has been awesome! Plus there has been so much change in the music business. When we decided to launch the JAZZ ROCK FUSION label SolarGuitars in January we knew the music industry was changing rapidly, but we would not have predicted the emergence of a new marketing strategy which is to use music recordings as a free giveaway...a leader sales item!...a way of getting someone to buy something else. Check out the 50 Million MP3 giveaway co-op promotion at Starbucks and Apple Itunes and you'll see what I mean. So what does the future hold for musicians and the recording industry? I have to admit it doesn't look good. With more and more kids pursuing Guitar Hero Software & High Powered Video Games rather than serious lessons on instruments, plus the inability for Indy Recording labels to turn a profit...we may be witnessing the end of an era....TIME TO PLAY JAZZ ROCK FUSION LIVE!
